Fair Compensation for Your Hospitality
We understand that hosting an international student increases your household running costs. Our goal is to provide a fair homestay host family payment that covers your expenses. This allows you to provide a warm and welcoming environment without significant financial stress. Good Homestay aims to offer competitive weekly rates to support all our hosts in Sydney and Melbourne.
2026 Standard Weekly Boarding Rates & Payment Schedule
Below are the latest details regarding the homestay host family payment for 2026.
- Your first payment will be made one day before the student’s arrival. (Some short-term group bookings may have exceptions)
- Your homestay fee will be deposited directly into your bank account fortnightly in Australian dollars by Good Homestay.
Sydney & Melbourne

| $420 | 3 meals every day |
- Extra $50 per week will be paid if your student has special dietary requirement (Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy & Lactose Free, Vegan & Pork Free)
- Extra $100 per week will be paid if your student has special dietary requirement (Pescetarian & halal)
- Extra compensation will be paid if you are required to pick up or drop off student from/at school on their arrival and departure day. (The transportation from the airport on arrival day will be arranged by Good Homestay or school )
